Children's Ministries

You are welcomed and encouraged to attend the Sunday School program here at Woodynook CRC. We offer classes for children from age 3 to Grade 5. We are using a wonderful new program called “walk with me…” This is an exciting curriculum that involves music, art, stories, crafts, dramas and many more activities.

A typical Sunday morning for our children involves going into the sanctuary with their parents. After some singing, the kids are invited to the front of the church for a Bible story and a prayer. They then come to the fellowship hall where we meet for a time of singing and sharing. From there the children go to their classrooms with their leaders.

Most Sundays the kids will be able to take something home, whether it is a craft, story card, or booklet that enables them to share with their families about the lesson they have learned. Come, have some fun with us as we learn to walk with Jesus

 

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Saviour) is a relationship-building club program created especially for girls! The purpose of GEMS Girls' Clubs is to help bring girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ. To help foster this all-important relationship between each girl and Christ, other relationships are nurtured as well — between girls and between girls and their counselor (leader).

Girls in clubs are organized into small groups with one leader or counselor for each group of six to eight girls. These small groups coupled with the bi-weekly interactions that take place in club nurture and develop faith and help girls create long-lasting friendships.

Girls in Grade 5-9 are invited to join this excting program. GEMS meets every other Wednesday from October to May.

 

Cadets The Calvinist Cadet Corps is the ministry of men of God who are dedicated to bring boys into a living relationship with their Lord and Savior. These men, understanding their imperfection, hold on to the promise that the Lord will bless their prayers, their example, and their instruction if they rely on God's strength.

Boys in Grades 5-9 are invited to attend Cadets to particpate in outings and special events, Bible lessons, projects, camping, and merit badges geared to appeal to their interests and abilities. Cadets meet every other Wednesday from October to May.

 

NURSERY

At Woody Nook we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which we can bring our children to the Saviour. Our policy is designed to protect children up to 36 months, allowing parents to attend the worship services and know their children are in capable hands.
