Mexicali - March 28 - April 8, 2012
MEXICALI - This short-missions trip has a 40 year history through Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California (www.mexicooutreach.org), who provide a 'tent city' for lodging, excellent food, worship and speakers, all in a secure and healthy environment. Woodynook has participated since 1995 with an intergenerational team of both strong and searching Christians. The preperations begin with applications in December, and continues with weekly training for approximately 10 weeks.
The dates of the mission cover two weeks and begin during the Easter week. The mission includes learning spanish and preparing our time with the village we have been building a relationship with over several years. We believe the relationship with the village provides us with a place where we help, but has also proven to be the place where we are deeply touched and blessed; we leave with attitude of giving and come back having received. This event has transformed the lives of many students over the years.
